Dr. Milton Churta, an Ecuadorian nephrologist, experienced this challenge firsthand in his daily practice. Rather than accepting the gap between published research and clinical practice, he took matters into his own hands. In his free time, he taught himself programming and artificial intelligence with a single goal: to build a tool that could bring evidence-based medicine to the point of care.
