The Service integrates with external databases (Semantic Scholar, Europe PMC, PubMed) to deliver real-time medical literature results.

3. Eligibility

You must be a licensed healthcare professional or authorized user to access the Service. By using Xynaps, you represent that you hold valid professional credentials in your jurisdiction. The Service is not intended for use by patients or the general public for self-diagnosis or self-treatment.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Not share your credentials with any third party
  • Use only one account per user unless explicitly authorized

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Submit personal patient identifiers (names, MRNs, SSNs, etc.)
  • Use the Service for illegal purposes or in violation of applicable regulations
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Reproduce, distribute, or sublicense the Service without written consent
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data at scale
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the underlying AI model
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its content, features, functionality, software, and design, is owned by Xynaps and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your professional purposes.

Content generated by the AI is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute proprietary medical knowledge. External citations and references remain the property of their respective publishers.

7. Fees and Payment

The Service is offered under subscription plans as described on our pricing page. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Unpaid accounts may be suspended or terminated.

Free trial periods are offered at our discretion. We may modify or discontinue trial offerings without notice.

8. Term and Termination

Your agreement with us begins upon account creation and continues until terminated. Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Service will cease immediately
  • We will delete or anonymize your personal data per our Privacy Policy
  • Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, XYnaps SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, WHETHER DIRECT OR INDIRECT, ARISING FROM:

  • Your use or inability to use the Service
  • Any medical decisions made based on information from the Service
  • Unauthorized access to your account or data
  • Any errors or omissions in the Service's output

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us during the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Xynaps, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Xynaps regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements or communications.
